Great concept, fantastic execution. My only concern is that at 18 in, it is technically larger than some airlines personal item restrictions, especially if I the case. But it fits in a carry-on size luggage bag so if I'm concerned I could always just pack my clothes around it.

I love and appreciate the ingenuity that gos into Ciari guitars! I travel a lot! This one arrived with me round the end of March. Now I am definitely keeping this Guitar, however there dose seem to be issues with elements of its finishing and quality control! Maybe it was just a bad day or something? I found that where the body of guitar has been CMC’ed out for the mechanism that you used to lock the neck. Round the rim of that hole are lots of wood grain bits from where the CMC machine head might’ve been a bit tired. It just would’ve taken just a pass with a bit of sandpaper to go round the edges to get the bits off. It just lets it down when you’re buying an expensive instrument. Secondly, on the articulating neck I noticed there is what looks like some potential impact on the metal alloy probably before assembly. Lastly, where the hinge bolts go in I’ve found have an abrasive edge at moments when gripping the neck. So it’s nothing big really, but has nevertheless come into conflict with my expectations. I imagine with ascender trio, being quite new the factory might have high volumes of orders which may account for this. Other than those things I’m finding it’s set up brilliant and the tonality of the HSH pick up configuration really versatile. Many thanks Rob

I bought it a s novelty but the biggest surprise is how brilliantly it played. Better than my other big brand guitars.
