I like it !

Smooth and subtle until you push it hard ! But the you can dial it back with the dry let parallel screw This is nice for a lot of different elements and instruments Individual or buss channels. The drum slam preset is quite a preset I put it on some drums tracks that sounded raw and Lacked room mics , not anymore ! , where’d that room come from ?

Magic on the Bass Bus

I'm still getting acquainted with Virelia but can say it sounds great. In my latest project, I added it to an instrument bus that unites three bass synths (with only two playing at any given time). All of Virelia's controls are responsive, but the combined effect of Feedforward/Feedback, Peak/RMS and THD in the compressor has been magical. The bass lines are clear, solid and present.

Great sounding plugin - resource HOG

Really love the plugin but my system struggles running it in Reaper on Windows 10 with AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Eight-Core 3.20 GHz with 16.0 GB of RAM at 512 buffer size. I can't run even one instance with 4x oversampling and only two or three instances with 2x oversampling - even when only rendering. It totally crackles and cuts out. Even at 2 or 3 instances, while mixing with several midi instruments, I have to set it at zero oversampling and then set it back to 2x when rendering because that's the only time it can handle the 2x. It does a little better and is usable at 2x while mixing only audio files. It's the only compressor I have that does this and one of my favorite ones. (maybe top favorite) Wish I could use it to its maximum potential. I've not tried any higher buffer size than 512.... maybe I should, but I think I'd still have problems at 4x oversampling or more.
