Great addition to my Chiller

I think the drawstring is a must-have. It's great addition to my hat, not only for hanging my hat over my back, but for pulling up the brim for a different look.

I am not a fan og drawstrings on hats - I think they spoil the hoot and get in the way. My wife convinced me to buy it so I did nt lose the hat in windy wether while we were travelling through Spain. I am glad I followed her advice. The drawstring fits over the hat brim and lays behind your head when it is not in use (the way I have it 99% of the time). It looks good and it is out of the way, yet easy to grab and use when it is needed. If you are ever likely to wear the hat in a windy location and you don't want to lose the hat when it blows overboard, or chase it through a busy street because a gust of wind caught you off guard, or you simply don;t want to walk around holding your hat to your head because it is a little breezy, then I recommend the drawstring and toggle.

This lovely hat has been a life saver the past two weeks where outdoor temperatures were 35-40 degrees celsius. I wore it while we were at an off grid cabin, in the bush, with no running water or nearby lakes to cool off. I was pouring water into it to cool down, and my head was protected from the savage deer flies taking chunks out of everyone else's scalps. In addition to being a beautiful hat, the brim did a great job at keeping my face and neck protected from the scorching sun at my sons football games (which always seem to have a 4th quarter that never ends). A few less freckles makes me happy. This hat travelled a long way to Ontario, and it was worth the wait. Excellent craftsmanship, quality, and durability. I’m positive it will last for years and I’m already thinking about getting another colour for next summer.
