Interesting and well done but not suitable for all campaigns

I cannot fault the writing itself, as always that is well done, the layout is impeccable, the material consistent, and balanced. Beyond the recipes which are an odd addition and not one I would make (sorry) the material is an interesting take on magic and using the schools of magic to develop a powerful organization;especially given that the schools do not really interact with each other in most worlds/campaigns. But that is the exact place I have issues if I were to try to implement the material in my campaigns where individual caster might team up on an occasional basis but not to the extent of forming a structured stable organization. Yes, that holds together, just not in my campaign world. That said, there is certainly material that is adoptable and which can add interesting twists to the campaigns. Nicely conceived and well done.

A lot of info about archmages called the Octad. I might even try to make the Runic Energy Balls as they sound tasty!
