Transmission Shift Cable Repair Kit

This is exactly what my 2003 Corvette needed to fix my shifter cable. The shifter suddenly felt loose and would only lock in park. This piece is a simple piece of plastic, however it far exceeds the OEM grommet that was soft and falling apart. If your shifter is loose and will not lock into gear, this is likely the problem.
