Poor performance

I want to first say, I do not like giving negative reviews but with the cost of this product (and shipping) I think truthful feedback is necessary especially for all of us moms of little boys who are looking for clean hair products that also perform. I gave it 2 stars because I love that it’s clean and healthy but for performance I’d give 1 star. We ordered this for our 7 year old who is new to wanting styled hair. After reading many ingredient lists on many products I was excited to find this one. I thought for sure it would hold with the beeswax and clay in it; however, the hold lasts less than an hour. We have given the product 3 tries with different styles and even adding some non toxic hairspray. Each time the hair falls without being touched. Maybe we are doing something wrong and if there is a tip to help, Id love to hear! For all the moms of little boys wanting spiked hair, this isn't the one we are looking for unfortunately :(
