SC5 Battery Smart Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm

Because it says Nest Protect, I assumed it was a Google product and got a bit frustrated in the installation process when I scanned the QR code using the Nest app to add it to my list of other Google/Nest products. But then I open the installation guide and there the solution was, I just need to download the First Alert app. Once I did that, the process of adding them with my other Google products and the physical install was indeed simple, each taking about six minutes to install and setup. I opted for the battery version over the hard wired option, for two reasons: 1. I live in a home already built (meaning the walls are all closed up) 2. It's a lot more flexible and convenient to install

They sent me the hard wited bersion that wont work

If this smoke detector is the replacement for the Nest product, you couldn’t use the same brackets … i only chose this brand because First Alet took over Nest … now i have to remove the Nest brackets and re-install the First Alert brackets.
