Why doesn’t the handle have a long enough shaft on it to go through a 3 1/2” 2X4? Who builds a single door and lays the 2x4’s flat. For my double doors I will lay the 2x4’s flat since I know now that your shaft isn’t long enough to go through a 2x4 framed in the standard method. Very disappointed in your product. I should have just bought my parts from Home Depot to begin with. That way there are not any surprises when I open the box and see what is inside of it. No recommendations from me for your product.
