These shorts are so comfortable. Being only at most, slash horizontal pockets are a lovely touch. For reference, I am 5'3", they hit just above my knees. I usually wear a Size 6 in tights and took a size 4, which are perfect, not too tight, not too loose at waist/legs and easy to pull on. I bought these in black and white and liked the fit better than the longer style in white which fit baggier at the hips, with larger side vertical, jean style pockets. These are sleek, bit of stretch and not too heavy. Great for Spring and Summer warmer weather.
