Not my favourite scent

Smells nothing like coconut to me, it hard to put my finger on how to describe the scent but it’s definitely not my kind of scent. It’s almost like herbal and what it smells like in a health store in my opinion. It’s not a summery scent to me. The body butter and body oil are very hydrating though and I love shelter skin but I’m glad I just got minis because I don’t enjoy this scent unfortunately. Had it shipped all the way to Europe and was kinda disappointed. Happy I got vanilla as well since that’s my all time fav!

I had really high hopes for this body butter and body oil. First, I want to mention that the packaging is absolutely beautiful. Everything feels very luxurious, from the weight of the containers to the presentation itself. I also loved the bag the products arrived in. As for the formula, I was genuinely impressed. Both products left my skin feeling incredibly soft, smooth, and moisturized. The texture is rich and nourishing without feeling unpleasant on the skin. Unfortunately, the scent was a major disappointment for me. I purchased it because the fragrance notes sounded amazing: coconut, ylang-ylang, tonka bean, sandalwood, and vintage sunscreen. I was expecting something warm, tropical, and nostalgic. Instead, I don’t get any of the coconut or sunscreen notes at all. The scent comes across mostly as tonka bean with a little sandalwood, but the notes don’t feel well-balanced or distinct. Everything seems to blend together into one indistinct fragrance that feels heavy and overwhelming rather than cohesive. The scent is also quite cloying to my nose and unfortunately gives me headaches. I found it difficult to wear for extended periods because it became overwhelming very quickly. I’m also wondering whether the products may have been affected during shipping, as they arrived extremely hot. I’m not sure if heat exposure could have altered the fragrance, but the scent I received doesn’t match what I expected based on the listed notes. Overall, the packaging and formula are excellent, but the fragrance completely missed the mark for me. I’m especially disappointed because these products were quite expensive, and since returns aren’t accepted, I’m left with products I can’t comfortably use despite loving how they perform.

Amazing scent

Absolutely love this product. This is my first Shelter skin purchase and I couldn't have picked a better scent. The product is very moisturizing and I love the little pouch.
