My son uses this wheel to polish his knives. We put it on an adjustable speed grinder and run it at about 6000 rpms. At that speed, he has polished 4 large knives and most of the wheel is still there. 20 percent wear, perhaps. These are a great deal, and are long lasting for a soft wheel.

Great final pass

After removing material with grinding wheel, then flap wheel, this was a great final pass to smooth things out.

Great discs, cut very clean and leaves a great finish
