I was thinking just today as I was plunging down Mt. Lemmon here in Tucson, that the Rolf wheels with their new bearings are awesome. Smooth, and fast. And, almost more importantly, the support from Rolf prima folks was instrumental in getting them installed correctly. There is no more end play, and both wheels are smooth as silk. Thanks!

Bearing Kit for Tandem Disc Wheelset

I bought the bearing kit via the Rolf website. Once I'd verified and double-checked which kit was correct for the Tandem Disc wheels on our Santana road tandem, I easily placed my order. The package arrived in the mail in just a few days. While I am a pretty competent bike mechanic and have a nice set of bike-specific tools, I decided to just go ahead and take the wheels and bearing kit over to one of our local bike shops. They have a couple of mechanics who are former employees of Santana Tandems, and I always go to them to handle any work on our tandems that I don't want to do myself. The shop swapped out the bearings in both wheels without any problems, and now our Team Ti-700 is rolling along smoothly on a brand new set of bearings. It's so nice to be able to order the bearings directly from Rolf and thus know that they are the exact replacements for the original Rolf parts.
