Nice buckle, belt itself not what I was looking for

I probably have some sensory processing disorder, so YMMV. I am very particular about how I wear my pants, and typically do so on the hips. I've been trying to adjust to wearing pants at my natural waist, as dress trousers look better this way, but leather belts are extremely uncomfortable. They are a.) hard, and b.) use discrete sizes that don't really match my body. This belt tackles b.) well; a near continuous range of sizes available. But when it comes to a.), it's just as hard as a leather belt, where I was hoping for something more like a fabric. Not sure if the vaseline trick works on this material, but I will have to figure out something to make it wearable.
