If you have been considering a new drum sander for your shop, all I can say is pull the trigger! I can't believe how much easier this has made life for me. I make segmented vessels, and the thin strips of various exotic hardwoods don't always come out ideal through the planer. The drum sander fixes that, plus there is zero snipe. Another great thing is you can make your strips very thin. This Laguna was a breeze to set up by myself. The paper change is simple and easy. The tracking for the conveyor belt is straight forward and easy to learn. The DRO is exact! And it has a few different functions to it. This is a high quality machine and I wish I would have bought it a long time ago. 5 stars all the way.
