Mourning Wood Eau de Parfum

The shipping and store experience are perfect; this particular fragrance, however, is not. The purchase is based on the fusion of social media imagery and associated narratives which led me to the understanding that this would be a very hyper masculine aroma. It is 100% fhe polar opposite. It is exceptionally sweet with a very faint almost indiscernible oud/amber quality. I actually kept checking over a period of 60 minutes and there was no shift; just a sugary scent that faded very quickly without a trace. I have been collecting fine, artisanal, fragrances for decades and have never been so disappointed with a purchase as I was in this instance. Indeed there was an option to purchase a standard-size sample but 25$ to make a decision on a 120$ bottle of perfume is a bit excessive. It’s all quite unfortunate.
