I bought the fire starter for our cabin's wood burning fireplace. Finally opened the cabin and tried the product with very good results. Starting the fireplace is now easier and the slower burn of Clem and Simms fire starter gives the kindling a good chance to catch and we enjoy the process with more anticipation of success now. What a great idea! We will be buying your fire starter again!

Small and hard to light

I appreciate the commitment to environmentally sound ingredients and local manufacturing—that's the kind of product I want to support. Unfortunately, the blocks fell short in practice. They were much smaller than I expected, very difficult to light, and they burned out quickly. Honestly, the $1 fire starter blocks from the dollar store are far more economical and work dramatically better.
