Pretty, but doesn’t sit right

The pendant is really beautiful and I love the emerald, but unfortunately there’s one thing that really bothers me. The back of the stone is quite thick, especially at the top, and because of that the pendant keeps turning sideways when I wear it. Instead of the emerald facing forward, I often end up seeing the side of the pendant. I honestly don’t understand why the back was made so thick. If it were thinner, I think the pendant would sit much better and actually stay facing forward. It’s a beautiful piece, but the way it keeps turning makes it look awkward and takes away from the overall look.
