Alocasia Cuprea 'Red Secret'

First time Buyer here (CA, Z9B). Plant took 3+ weeks to ship. Arrived via UPS 3Day. Packaged neatly. Appeared healthy albeit extremely sun-stressed (all leaves bowed down). I put in a darker corner next to a humidifier. After no improvement I found medium to be dry & watered. Lost all but 1 leaf. Found signs of early root rot. Repotted in terracotta pot with mixture of bark, clay balls, coir & perlite with no water. Remaining leaf turned upright & unfurled with healthy color as of day 7. I know Alocasias are finicky, but was surprised to find this much shock. Will buy from Blossomdale again. This might just be a one off. Thanks for responding to all my emails so fast!
