Works well, but not especially high quality

Ok, here's what I didn't like, which if alone, I would have rated 3 stars or worse: the sockets are not high quality and the bulbs I used (SMD LEDs from Christmas Emporium) would not completely tighten in about 10% of the sockets (2 or 3 per 25 ft). My opinion is that these are soft plastic and weak for this application as the socket threads are not firm or easily stripped. The bulbs placed in those sockets would tighten, break loose, retighten, loosen, and so on (typical stripped thread feeling); never firmly seating. The remaining sockets tightened up nicely. Be that as it may, all of the bulbs in the string have remained lit thus far, even in the problematic sockets when tightened just to the point of loosening again. Being as that is the purpose of the string, I added a star to the rating. I'm not certain if I'd buy these again knowing what I know now; however, they are working and I do favor buying from a local small business, even with only an online presence (no storefront).
