Artifact Casting

I used Alumilite RTV silicone mold Maker for a 2 piece mold for casting a mid-sized Native American blade and the Platinum Silicone kit for single stage casting a narrow blade. Both had great success as the tan plastic resin kit shows great detail in the making of the artifacts that is lost in color variations of the originals.

Not Bad For A Start

I made several molds with this. I didn't like the quality of the castings. I switched to a different product and found it to give me the crisp details of what I was moulding. But it is an easy product to work with and helped me get started.
