Will exaggerate the fact that the car is designed to have the driver sit ever so slightly off to the left of the steering wheel. You are not crazy. This is normal in regard to the driver side. Passenger side has more room so this isn’t the case on the other side. Absolutely amazing amount of adjustability and helped me install my sparco sprints in my 1991 Miata. I feel planted (pun intended) to the car now.
