My wife tricked me and now I can't stop.
I don't use "products." I use soap. Bar soap. One soap for everything face, hair, body, occasionally the dog. I am not the target market for a whipped balm in an artisan jar with a bison on it.
My wife bought this. I made fun of her. She ignored me. Then one morning it was sitting next to the sink and I figured, whatever, and used some.
That was six weeks ago. I have since ordered my own jar because I'll be damned if I'm going to run out. My face feels like a person's face instead of a topographic map of the Badlands. I don't know what tallow is exactly and I've decided not to Google it because I don't want anything ruining this for me.
The Mineral Pool scent smells like a clean, competent adult lives here, which is aspirational for me. It absorbs fast, there's no greasy film, and unlike what I assumed a "whipped balm" would do, it did not make me look like I was about to audition for a skincare commercial.
My only complaint is that I now have opinions about moisturizer, and I have to live with that.
10/10, would reluctantly recommend to other men who also don't use products.

I’m glad I stopped by their stand at Junkstock for the balm. It is amazing especially for dry cracked hands. I went ahead with confidence and bought the whipped cream. I’m not sure if it’s the bison tallow or the minimal wholesome ingredients they use, but it is completely different on my face than beef tallow that I’ve used before. My face is super soft and it is a must have for these dry Midwest winters!
