We live on the east coast but have been ordering this coffee (& other flavors) since our first visit to your Santa Barbara cafe 12 years ago! Totally worth the wait each month!

Super dry overly roasted

Usually when I get Starbucks coffee beans they are shiny and oily looking and not dry at all. When I got these beans from Santa Barbara roasting company they look so dry and over roasted, almost burnt. Or maybe they are old or expired. I'm not sure but I'm not very satisfied with them. I won't be buying from them again.

I thought the coffee would look a little bit more fresh. But the beans look pretty over roasted and dried out. Maybe I'll feel differently after I try the coffee. But I was hoping that the beans would look fresh and shiny like Starbucks coffee looks. Where you can still see the oils on the coffee beans and you can just tell that Starbucks is premium coffee. But maybe I'll be proven wrong after I taste the coffee. We shall see.
